Pretty Cochamo Valley

I FINALLY sent my application on the 31th of January :-)
Oh Yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh :-)
Now, let's think about this fabulous trip!
First stop : Puerto Varas. Little beautifull town a bit too much touristic for us ...

so we decided to take another bus to go to Cochamo and its precious valley.
What do you think about that! Isn't it AMAZING ???

Well, we spent one night in a camping in Cochamo before going up to La Punta, the starting point of several treks. But as we just got 2 short days up there before taking our flight to Coihaique, we had just time to arrive to the camping, make a walk there, and then go down again the 20km that separates us from Cochamo. But we enjoyed it a lot! The landscape was really nice! And we have been lucky with the camping recommended by our host in Cochamo (it was much more quite than the "public" one from where we could hear people shouting during the night!). But this public camping at least could supply us with "delicious" pizzas, sandwiches, home made bread and beers :-)

We loved the tyrolinas :-)

Well, here is the point I decided to not continue the trek and go down to have a beer at the terrace of the public camping :-s Let me explain you ...
We started this trek, called arco iris, because in the camping of cochamo, a french couple told us that it was really worth doing it and that it was not as difficult as it seems. Well, may be they were climbers, but for my old knees, it was a painfull experience. Not that I was afraid of the climbing part, but of the descending one! So after 1h30 climbing the mountain, we realized that just made half the way. And looking at the "way" we had to continue on, I just gave up and went down again. Of course, seb continues and made some beautifull pictures of what I missed :-s
